We are pleased to announce that the Digital Edition of NPR Issue 5 is now available to download.
For the latest issue of the NPR we’re all ears... having sounded out a veritable concordance of compositions on the theme of MUSIC.
We’re turning to the sweet consolations of words and song... Whether it’s sonnets, symphonies or sonatas we've been looking to the combined abilities of poetry and music to move us, offer solace and provide hope in difficult times.

Due to COVID-19 lockdown restrictions in the UK, publication of latest issue of NPR has been postponed until July 2020.

For the fifth issue of The Northampton Poetry Review we're looking for poems on the theme of MUSIC.
We're considering the entwinement of words and music through the ages; from the ancient Greeks and the lyre, medieval troubadours, hard bop and the Beats to rap and lyric poetry.

After a long and turbulent year we turn to poems of solace with the dark winter nights ahead.

Why Shoes? Northampton was put on its feet by shoe production. Shoes, boots... tramping, walking, Clare’s trek out of Essex... the theme is open.
